Holiday Hope Project

Holiday Hope Project

Dear Friend,

Child & Family Services, Inc. invites you to share the joy of the upcoming holiday season by participating in the 2017  Holiday Hope Project.

Throughout the years, thousands of children and adults have seen their holiday wishes come true because of the generosity of people like you. Holiday Hope matches sponsors with Child & Family’s clients who are burdened with financial worries, illnesses, mental and physical disabilities, limited education and resources, and personal tragedies which have left them unable to provide for themselves or their families.

There are many ways for you to support Holiday Hope. By sponsoring a family or an individual or by donating to the project your help will guarantee another successful year.

Please share your holiday spirit and give the most vulnerable members of our community the greatest gift of all—HOPE.

Susan Remy,
Director of Development

This means buying gifts, wrapping them, and delivering them to the designated drop-off location in December. You will receive a sponsor sheet about the family you will be assisting, including the number of parents and children, ages and sizes, and a holiday “Wish List.” Sponsors are also asked to provide a food card for the family and a $20 check for a transportation voucher.

If you are unable to assist a family, you can still share in this special experience by sponsoring an individual, making a donation, or volunteering your time.

Tuesday, December 5th from 8am-5pm

For further information regarding drop-off times, contact the Development Office (508) 742-1034.

Please package items in small, manageable containers. Reusable containers such as laundry baskets and toy or storage boxes are useful to the families throughout the year.

Once again this year we are asking for food cards for your families so that they may purchase the food they enjoy. Please consider the size of the families you are sponsoring when purchasing food cards. Please do not send food items.

Keeping families active and together is key. Gift certificates to family restaurants and video stores, movie tickets, tickets to shows and events, and disposable cameras for memories help accomplish this goal.

Bath towels, kitchen towels, dishes, pots and pans, and cooking utensils are helpful.

Pajamas, blankets, coats, hats, gloves, socks, and scarves are great for all ages and are greatly needed.

Personal hygiene items are useful and thoughtful. These include toothbrushes, toothpaste, soaps, shampoos, hairbrushes, and gift certificates to stores where undergarments could be purchased.

Books, puzzles, writing supplies, arts and crafts, and learning games are great.

Extra items are always appreciated: gift certificates to supermarkets and malls, tickets to family events, extra winter items such as gloves, hats, scarves, and thick socks.

Nothing goes to waste, and everything we receive finds its way to those who truly need it.
