Internships

Child & Family Service’s internship program offers diverse experience for the student at any academic level. We provide both group and individual supervision for interns, and are able to meet state licensure requirements for both LICSW and LMHC. The agency offers numerous training opportunities and field experience.

With over 24 programs, students can gain experience with adults, families, children, crisis work, or other relevant areas. We also provide opportunities for practicums. We encourage interns to develop and cultivate a learning environment in their field of study.

Each prospective student must complete a pre-screening interview to determine eligibility. If an internship is offered, the student will complete a CORI (criminal record check) and provide three written references and a copy of an academic diploma (when required). A driving record check may also be required for some programs. Upon the return of your CORI, you will then be asked to come in for final paperwork and an agency orientation. All interns should have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Child & Family Services appreciates the opportunity to provide a mutually beneficial learning experience with interns.

Please submit a 1 to 2 page reflective essay explaining your interests and academic requirements. Please include a schedule of availability for a pre-screening interview and your contact information(e-mail & phone). See below for a list of available internships.
